Job summary

Serco Limited is seeking a Maintenance Operative in Nottingham to provide safe, well-maintained accommodation under the Home Office AASC contract. You will conduct planned, preventative and reactive maintenance, perform joinery, plumbing, painting and general repairs, and coordinate with housing officers and contractors.

A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel are essential. The role includes an on-call duty and requires BPSS checks.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience or strong DIY skills
• Willing to travel throughout the region and elsewhere in the UK
• Full UK driving licence is essential
• Desirable: experience in one or more trades such as joinery, plumbing, painting/decorating, building maintenance

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across properties
• Complete a range of repairs including joinery, plumbing, painting and decorating, fitting and general maintenance
• Work with Housing Officers, contractors and colleagues to maintain safe homes that meet standards
• Record maintenance activities and manage jobs through our systems
• Carry out property compliance activities including PAT
• Manage materials, tools and vehicle
• Build positive relationships with residents and partners
• Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota for 24/7 cover
