A leading company within the NHS is seeking a Maintenance Technician - Plumbing to support building services maintenance in Stroud. This permanent, full-time role involves delivering planned and reactive maintenance services while ensuring compliance with NHS standards. The key function is to support NHS Property Services in delivering building services maintenance and repairs across the NHS to ensure buildings are maintained to the highest standards and to provide a safe and secure environment for visitors, customers, and employees.
Ensure compliance with all processes, procedures, and policies that meet organisational standards/requirements, including but not limited to our Health & Safety Policy, HTMs (Health Technical Memoranda), and SFG20. Implement new or revised policies within your work areas. Deliver planned and reactive maintenance services from the PPM planner, ensuring operational standards are maintained. Duties may include fault finding, minor repairs or installations, and maintaining services and equipment within critical environments. Assess problems to determine the best course of action, including complex technical issues. Maintain effective site log books at all NHS premises, ensuring they are completed accurately and promptly.

We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Technician - Plumbing based in Stroud Health Centre, Block C. This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8 am-4:30 pm. The role is mobile, covering Gloucestershire & Bristol. The starting salary is from £38,000, depending on experience, plus on-call allowance. Requirements include qualifications such as BTEC City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing Engineering, or equivalent, and a full UK driving license. Additional requirements include comfort with technological devices, on-call availability, and industry experience is desirable. DBS and DVLA checks are required. Key responsibilities involve ensuring compliance with NHSPS policies and standards, delivering scheduled and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and maintaining site logs.
