Job summary

Forterra Building Products Ltd in Measham is seeking a Maintenance Operative on a 12 month fixed-term contract. You will join a small production and maintenance team on continental shifts (4 on 4 off) with focus on safety and continuous improvement.

The role involves TPM/PPM activities, CMMS reporting, fault diagnosis of hydraulic/pneumatic systems and electrical/mechanical repairs, plus adherence to LOTOTO and PPE policies.

Qualifications

• Formal education or qualification in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Experience with PLCs and fault diagnosis of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Proactive in maintenance reporting and safety compliance.
• Ability to perform mechanical and electrical repairs and fault finding.
• Familiar with TPM/PPM activities and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair plant equipment to ensure safety and uptime.
• Record maintenance and breakdown data using CMMS and report through systems.
• Perform TPM/PPM activities and monitor each process stage.
• Select and fit correct spare parts; diagnose stoppages and fix faults.
• Comply with PPE, LOTOTO, and health and safety regulations.
• Participate in continuous improvement and teamwork in a 4-on/4-off shift.
