Job summary

Reactive Driving Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Maintenance Operative/Technician for a role in Cradley Heath. The position focuses on maintaining manufacturing equipment and site facilities to minimise downtime and support production needs.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in machine maintenance and setting, with hands-on experience across mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Salary up to £32,000, full-time, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in maintenance/engineering environment (3+ years)
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance of machinery, equipment, and site facilities.
• Provide technical support to the Maintenance Team and deputise for the Team Lead when required.
• Coordinate maintenance resources including spare parts, stock, suppliers, contractors, and external service providers.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and operational performance.
• Assist with maintenance projects, installations, automation, and other business improvements.
• Collaborate with Operations and R&D to support new technologies and process improvements.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, environment, and wellbeing, including inspections.
• Support development of team members through coaching and training.
• Ensure workshops and yards remain safe and clean.
