Position: Senior Maintenance Technician

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 10pm to 6am

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Technician to join our team at the Birmingham Depot. This pivotal role involves maintaining and enhancing our mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Responsibilities include Planned Preventative Maintenance, quick resolution of system breakdowns, defect repairs, and overall upkeep and optimization of depot facilities and automation systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain volume picking machinery through scheduled maintenance.
2. Engage and manage external contractors.
3. Respond immediately to breakdowns with production equipment during production hours.
4. Assist and manage the delivery of Supply Chain technical projects.

Physical Requirements

Standing and walking for most of the shift, lifting up to 15kg, bending, twisting, kneeling, and crouching.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum recognised Level 3 engineering, electrical, or mechanical qualification.
• Experience in maintenance departments.
• Experience with automated conveyor systems.
• Fault-finding experience in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.

Desirable Qualifications & Knowledge

• IOSH or NEBOSH certification.
• Knowledge of managing technical teams.
