Job Title: Facility Maintenance Technician
Pay rate: $27.00
1st shift: M-F | 8am-4:30pm
Duration: Temp-to-hire | 3 months temp with a possibility of extension or permanent conversion
Location: Dallas, TX

We're looking for a Maintenance Technician responsible for safely maintaining, repairing, replacing, and modifying all processing, packaging, and facility equipment with optimal quality and efficiency. The incumbent will also have supervisory responsibilities and functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning of repairs
- Ensure 100% functionality to complete work orders and log corrective maintenance issues
- Perform electrical repairs and troubleshooting, including AC & DC motor controls, solid state motor controls, and test equipment
- Understand and support the company's objectives such as productivity, yields, food safety, quality, customer service, and cost goals
- Oversee or perform daily inspections, emergency repairs, routine adjustments, and follow preventive maintenance schedules
- Model professional conduct and adhere to policies like GMP compliance, attendance, punctuality, work habits, and hygiene
- Support Process Improvement projects and safety teams
- Resolve mechanical issues as a resource to others
- Learn mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting and emergency repair skills
- Use measuring instruments like multimeters effectively
- Read, write, and speak English proficiently
- Perform daily maintenance activities during the shift
- Work effectively in teams and promote cooperation
- Analyze work requirements and plan accordingly
- Understand schematics, drawings, and manuals to diagnose issues
- Maintain strong organizational and communication skills
- Apply math skills including fractions, decimals, percentages, and the metric system
- Experience with preventive and reliability-based maintenance in the food processing industry
Skills and Requirements:
- Follow oral and written instructions
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Use standard powered and non-powered tools safely
- Assess mechanical and electrical problems accurately and resolve issues quickly
- Ability to walk, bend, stand, reach for extended periods
- Lift up to 49 lbs.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience
- Ability to follow directions and take ownership of tasks
