Probe UK in Cambridge is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Shift Manufacturing Maintenance team at one of the UK plants producing popular food products.
The role focuses on ensuring day-to-day operation of machinery and equipment, across mechanical, electrical, and programming aspects. You will work 12-hour shifts days and nights, using SAP for task logging and contributing to continuous improvement to boost plant efficiency.

The plants are complex, fast-moving environments where no two shifts are ever the same. Working as part of the Shift Manufacturing Maintenance team, the Maintenance Technician is instrumental in the day-to-day efficient operation of machinery and equipment in their area of responsibility.
Being assigned to specific plant equipment, the Maintenance Technician will analyse performance trends and lead Continuous Improvement activity to ensure optimum plant efficiency whether it be mechanical, electrical or programming the cause of the issue.
You must be flexible to work 12-hour shifts of days and nights.

You must hold a minimum NVQ Level 3/ BTEC Level 3, or City & Guilds Part 3 in a relevant engineering discipline such as Electrical or Mechanical. A time-served apprenticeship is very desirable along with a HNC.
