Job summary
Hager Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Maintenance Technician to safeguard the reliability of our manufacturing equipment. You will conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose faults and implement robust fixes in a fast-paced plant environment located in Telford.
You will hold an engineering qualification and have hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems, including PLCs.
Qualifications
- Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3 or degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering).
- Proven maintenance engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Hands-on expertise with mechanical and electrical systems, including PLCs.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving; able to read drawings and schematics.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis on recurring issues and implement sustainable solutions.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement with production and engineering teams.
- Maintain maintenance records, schedules and documentation; provide technical support.
