Maintenance Technician & Driver

Location: Outskirts of East Grinstead

Salary: Up to 30,000 DOE

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm (potential overtime and Saturdays at premium rates)

Driving Licence is essential

Lloyd Recruitment Services is partnering with a leading plant tool hire company supplying power tools, small plant machinery, and temporary site cabins throughout Southeast England.

The company is based on the outskirts of East Grinstead, so a valid driving license is required.

This role offers a great opportunity to join a friendly, close-knit team, with support and training provided. No two days are the same, but regular tasks include:

1. Checking returned tools, cleaning/maintaining them for next hire
2. Repairing damaged equipment (mechanical and electrical), reporting major issues
3. Preparing cabins for delivery to clients
4. Delivering equipment to client sites (by van or towing)
5. Conducting PAT testing on electrical appliances
6. Operating materials handling equipment (forklifts) and moving equipment around the site
7. Working with the team to ensure smooth depot operations

Applicants are not required to have experience in all areas; relevant crossover experience is beneficial. Full training and support will be provided.

Key qualities include a willingness to learn, practical mindset, and team-oriented attitude to assist across the depot.

Full, valid driving license with no more than 6 points is essential.
