Job summary

Vertiv in Campsie (Derry/Londonderry) is seeking a Maintenance Technician / Engineer to join our manufacturing team. You will help ensure reliability and efficiency of production equipment, supporting downtime reduction and continuous improvement.

We value hands-on problem-solvers with at least 3 years in manufacturing maintenance, NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical and/or Electrical, and the ability to work mornings, afternoons, and nights.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible, proactive, and solution-focused approach.
• Flexible approach to working shift patterns, including mornings, afternoons, and nights.

Responsibilities

• Develop and carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify recurring issues.
• Supporting continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records, service logs, and calibration documentation.
• Liaising with OEMs and specialist contractors when required.
• Supporting the implementation of TPM and 5S initiatives.
• Maintaining and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Responding quickly to breakdowns and supporting production teams to minimise downtime.
• Ensuring compliance with PUWER, LOLER and health, safety regulations.
• Managing spare parts inventory and technical documentation.
• Training and supporting operators with daily equipment checks and basic maintenance activities.
