Job summary

AO RETAIL LIMITED in the United Kingdom is seeking a maintenance engineer with mechanical or electrical bias to join AO Recycling. The role operates on a 4 on 4 off days and nights pattern and focuses on keeping the plant reliable and safe.

You will complete Planned Maintenance inspections, plan corrective work, perform CMMS log entries, and contribute to plant upgrades and refurbishments while ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Qualified engineer with mechanical or electrical bias.
• Experience in a similar process, production or manufacturing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Highly organised with ability to plan and prioritise workloads.
• Familiar with CMMS systems.
• Knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety regulations and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• Complete Planned Maintenance inspections and condition reports in line with the site maintenance plan.
• Plan and deliver corrective and reactive work, keeping production downtime to a minimum.
• Complete dynamic risk assessments and adopt a 'clean-as-you-go' approach to keep our plant super safe.
• Keep tabs on malfunctioning equipment and keep site management in the loop.
• Log daily progress in the CMMS and contribute to engineering projects or refurbishments.
• Call on engineering expertise in problem-solving workshops and attend daily operational review meetings.
