Booker Fareham is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer/Technician to join our Maintenance team. This role involves general repairs and planned maintenance to the Fareham site and equipment.

A background in building services or facilities with knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems would be beneficial. The role suits someone from a fast-paced 24/7 environment, with scheduled late evening work and overnight call out cover, plus weekend work as required.

Qualifications

• Practical skills to provide maintenance service for RSC
• Good diagnostic and problem solving skills
• Self-starter, motivated with ability to work alone or in a team
• Some heavy lifting, ladder work/working at heights and use of power tools
• Electrically qualified or proficient in basic electrical skills

Responsibilities

• Supporting the RSC Maintenance Engineer with general maintenance and repair to minimize downtime
• Ensuring the RSC meets legal compliance for maintenance
• Maintaining maintenance records for building and equipment on file at the RSC
• Managing third party service contracts
• Providing support to other RSCs as required
