Maintenance Technician

Restorative Techniques has exciting opportunity to join a family run business that is a leading innovator and manufacturer of specialist cleaning equipment and products for building and sculpture conservation and restoration, supplying the UK and around the world.

The company has a permanent full-time vacancy maintaining and servicing sales and hire equipment based at our workshops near Thornbury, and occasionally on site with transport provided.

The ideal candidate is someone with an interest and aptitude with machinery. Our equipment is used for cleaning many of our most interesting and prestigious buildings and structures. Training will be provided for the successful applicant.

High standards of customer service and quality of work, make a polite and helpful manner essential.

Maintenance Technician Skills Required:

  • Good oral and written communications skills
  • Methodical approach and the ability to prioritise
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Mechanical aptitude - the ability to understand and problem solve
  • To work within a close team but sometimes independently when required

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

  • Routine servicing and maintenance of customer and hire equipment
  • Follow procedures & update service records to ensure equipment is safe, reliable and clean
  • Manage deliveries and despatches
  • Follow and optimise customers’ requirements
  • Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) - training provided leading to certificate
  • Forklift Operation - training/certification provided

Maintenance Technician Opportunities:

  • To train customers with equipment and products
  • Hands on manufacturing and assembly
  • Gain broad and specialised knowledge in the cleaning and restoration industry
  • Opportunities to visit some of the UKs most historic and significant landmarks

Permanent and Full time, 5 days a week, Monday to Friday.

Basic Salary - £29,000 plus (Negotiable, based on skill, experience and qualifications).

All overtime is paid in addition.
