General Maintenance Engineer / Fabric Technician


Location: Southampton (Hotel Site)

Working Pattern: Sunday to Thursday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM


Salary: £30,000 per annum + excellent benefits

Are you a hands-on Maintenance Engineer or Fabric Technician looking for a new opportunity within the hospitality sector? Our client, a leading hotel brand, is currently seeking a skilled and reliable professional to join their on-site maintenance team at a popular hotel in Southampton.

Role Overview:

As the General Maintenance Engineer / Fabric Technician, you will be responsible for a range of duties including:

General building maintenance and repair work

Fabric maintenance tasks such as painting, decorating, basic plumbing and carpentry

Ensuring health and safety standards are met at all times

Responding promptly to maintenance issues and working closely with hotel management to maintain standards across the site

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in a general maintenance or fabric technician role

Good all-round knowledge of building maintenance practices

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

A proactive, can-do attitude with a commitment to maintaining high standards
