Job summary

Job Requirements

Responsible for completing planned, preventative and reactive maintenance tasks and improvement work using effective problem-solving and trouble shooting as directed by the Project and Improvement Engineer. To provide feedback on completed tasks, root cause and follow-up work.

Rotational shifts-3 x 12hr shifts per week (Monday-Saturday)

Responsibilities

  • Attend breakdowns and ensure downtime is kept to a minimum
  • Undertake planned maintenance in accordance with the agreed schedule
  • Monitor and record downtime for improvement purposes
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of control systems circuitry
  • Enter accurate, detailed feedback on all ongoing and completed tasks into the planned maintenance system system on a daily basis.
  • Identify and source / obtain required parts, supplies and repair items as required
  • Maintain equipment and repair / replace as required

Qualifications/ Experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment – preferably within a textile / similar environment
  • Formal apprenticeship or equivalent in relevant field (electrical or mechanical) e.g. HND/HNC
  • C&G 17th Edition qualification / equivalent mechanical qualification
  • Multi-skilled
  • Ability to analyse and solve complex problems
  • Flexible in approach and attitude to work
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and on own initiative
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Competent IT skills including outlook, windows and excel
