Job summary

Priory Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Priory Hospital East Midlands, located between Nottingham and Mansfield. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with a salary of £26,300 per year.

The successful candidate will maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming hospital environment across the site. You will join a dedicated healthcare team, carrying out general maintenance, reporting faults, and ensuring regulatory and internal standards are met.

Qualifications

  • Practical maintenance and repair skills.
  • Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Ability to identify and resolve maintenance issues effectively.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a well-decorated, safe and comfortable environment throughout the site, in line with quality standards, and follows work processes which comply with statutory regulations.
  • Ensures that Priory minimum standards are delivered in all site areas in a timely and efficient manner, as part of a team.
  • Identifies and reports damage, faults and other related issues to the Maintenance Manager (and then actions as agreed) to ensure that environmental conditions continue to meet quality standards and statutory regulations.
  • Carry out General Maintenance tasks as defined in the Appendix and in the General Property Maintenance Guide.

Full Time - 37.5 hours per week

Priory Hospital East Midlands has an opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Priory Hospital East Midlands, located between Nottingham and Mansfield, is a 28-bedded specialist acute and psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) service for adult females.

Priory’s acute and PICU services aim to allow more people to be treated closer to home and we support the NHS to repatriate out-of-area patients back to local areas.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

What you'll bring to the role

The following experience would be beneficial

  • Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role
  • Experience carrying out general building, plumbing, electrical or mechanical maintenance
  • Experience working within a healthcare, care or similar environment
  • Knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance
