Job summary

Hunter Selection Ltd is recruiting a Maintenance Technician for Merthyr Tydfil. The role focuses on electrical and mechanical fault-finding on production lines, with electro-mechanical repairs to PLC-controlled plant, handling and packaging equipment, and pneumatic/hydraulic controls.

You will support plant facilities services and contribute to planned and reactive maintenance. Time-served multi-skilled apprenticeship and strong diagnostic skills are essential, with experience in FMCG

Qualifications

• Time served multi-skilled apprenticeship (Electrical/Mechanical) required.
• Experience in FMCG or other manufacturing environments.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake electrical and mechanical fault-finding on production lines.
• Electro-mechanical repairs to PLC-controlled plant and handling/packaging equipment; pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Provide technical support for plant facilities/services including compressed air, refrigeration and steam.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance; attend breakdowns.
• Support installation and commissioning of new machinery.
