Sealed Air Corporation in Malvern, UK is looking for a Maintenance Technician to keep our manufacturing lines running safely, efficiently, and reliably. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and control systems on advanced production equipment and perform preventative maintenance.

You will document work in the CMMS, support apprentices and junior technicians, and contribute to continuous improvement, safety, quality and cost reduction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifikationen

• Engineering apprenticeship or technical qualification in Engineering (Electrical focus).
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads, work independently, and perform in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues across manufacturing equipment.
• Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance activities to maximise equipment uptime and reliability.
• Investigate root causes of equipment failures and implement long-term corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
• Use CMMS to document activities, track equipment history, and support maintenance planning.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health, safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to apprentices and less-experienced technicians when required.
• Leverage predictive maintenance technologies and data to improve equipment performance and reliability.

What does a Maintenance Technician do?

Qualifications

Essential:

• Recognized engineering apprenticeship and/or technical qualification in Engineering, ideally with an electrical focus.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems. Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment and electrical components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize workloads, work independently, and perform effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred:

• Experience within blown film extrusion, printing, converting, or similar manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Willingness to travel occasionally to support training and business needs.
