Job summary

Kinetic plc is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Horwich to maintain high-volume PLC controlled production lines in a clean room environment. Shift pattern is 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00 / 22:00-06:00, with a circa £45k salary and progression opportunities.

You will troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance, support new equipment installation and drive improvements across the line. Electrical engineering qualifications and a Time Served Apprenticeship are preferred, with

Qualifications

Ideally an Electrical Engineering qualification to back up experience.
Time Served Apprenticeship is preferred.
Significant experience within manufacturing.
Proven experience in Repair, Maintenance and Process Improvement.
Experience with PLC controlled and robotic equipment maintenance/fault finding.
Experience maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Pro-actively identifies improvements from preventive maintenance findings.
Understanding of preventive maintenance schedules.

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of high-volume PLC controlled production equipment.
Planning and performing equipment preventative maintenance.
Improvement and modification of assembly/test equipment and transfer systems.

Your role will include:

Troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of high-volume PLC controlled production equipment.
Planning and performing equipment preventative maintenance.

Supporting the installation of new equipment.

Ideal candidates will have the following attributes:

Ideally qualifications in Electrical Engineering to back up your experience.
Time Served Apprenticeship.
Significant experience within manufacturing.
Proven experience on Repair, Maintenance and Process Improvement.
Ideally experienced in maintenance and fault finding PLC controlled and robotic equipment.
Experience of maintaining and fault finding hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Pro-actively identifies and suggests improvements based on findings of preventative maintenance and fault finding..
Understanding or preventative maintenance schedules.
