Job summary

The Police Treatment Centres, Harrogate site, is seeking a hands-on Facilities/Maintenance role to help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for patients and staff. You will support the Facilities Manager with general maintenance, repairs, and refurbishment projects, ensuring compliance and high standards across the 7-acre site.

Ideal candidates will be qualified in a relevant trade with multi-skilled maintenance experience.

Your work will directly support wellbeing and recovery every day, at The PTC, you are not just maintaining buildings, you are helping create and maintain a space where injured and recovering police officers can recuperate. Based at our unique 7-acre Harrogate site, St Andrews combines historic Victorian buildings with modern clinical facilities, based around a 91-bedroom rehabilitation centre.

This is a hands‑on, varied role where no two days are the same. Assisting the Facilities Manager you will carry out general maintenance and repairs, support refurbishment and improvement projects, and respond to day-to-day maintenance needs as part of a small, dedicated team. You will also play a key role in ensuring that all buildings and facilities are safe, compliant, and well‑presented, helping to create a welcoming environment for patients and staff

We are seeking a qualified and competent individual in a relevant trade, ideally with experience in a multi‑skilled maintenance role or the ability to thrive in one. Experience in a healthcare or patient‑focused environment is desirable but not essential.
