Maintenance Technician

Salary: Up to GBP36,000 + Benefits

Location: Fakenham

Hours: Monday to Friday, 14:30 + 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (06:00)

The Role

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a hands-on role in keeping production equipment and site infrastructure running efficiently and safely. Reporting to the Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for a wide range of preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across both electrical and mechanical systems. Your day-to-day will also include supporting site upgrades, liaising with contractors, and driving equipment reliability improvements.

The Right Candidate

We are looking for a multi-skilled technician with a solid background in electrical and mechanical maintenance. You will be proactive, reliable, and able to respond quickly to breakdowns while keeping a calm head. A keen eye for detail, good record keeping, and a collaborative mindset are key.

Essential

• Recognised qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, Apprenticeship)
• 18th Edition Electrical Certification
• Experience in fault finding and carrying out PPMs
• Solid understanding of Health & Safety practices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Desirable

• Familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics, or steam systems
• Background in industrial or production environments
