Job summary

Maintenance Technician role in a manufacturing environment requiring routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment. You will respond to breakdowns, handle changeovers, and assist in safety procedures while supporting process engineering to improve equipment performance.

Ideal candidates have NVQ 3 / HNC / BTEC in production maintenance with electrical or mechanical background; PLC experience with Siemens or Mitsubishi is preferred.

Qualifications

• Hold an apprenticeship or equivalent formal qualifications (NVQ 3, HNC, or BTEC) in production maintenance manufacture with an electrical OR mechanical background.
• Thrive under time pressure, working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Motivated, with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and on-time delivers.
• Mechanical maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all production equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, process changeovers, safety actions, and machine setups.
• Participate in installation qualifications, risk assessments, PUWER, and LOTO procedures.
• Collaborate with process engineering to monitor equipment performance and drive continuous improvement.

To carry out maintenance activities to equipment, site processes and services in-line with manufactures / legal recommended interval and standards. Ensuring that the service supplied is of the highest possible standard and fits with production needs & requirements.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all production equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, process changeovers, safety actions, and machine setups.
• Participate in installation qualifications, risk assessments, PUWER, and LOTO procedures.
• Collaborate with process engineering to monitor equipment performance and drive continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Hold an apprenticeship or equivalent formal qualifications (NVQ 3, HNC, or BTEC) in production maintenance manufacture with an electrical OR mechanical background.
• Thrive under time pressure, working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Motivated, with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and on-time delivers.
• Mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience with PLCs - able to interrogate and modify PLC software (Siemens / Mitsubishi)
