Job summary

PE Global (UK) is recruiting for 2 Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technicians with an electrical bias at a leading global manufacturing site in the UK. You will maintain, troubleshoot and improve high-speed production equipment to maximise reliability and uptime.

The role involves planned, preventive and corrective maintenance in a fast-paced environment, working 38 hours per week on a 3-shift rotation. Safety footwear is required, and candidates must have right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3, ONC, apprenticeship or equivalent in mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, mechatronics or related field.
• Experience maintaining production, packaging, converting, assembly or automated manufacturing equipment.
• Electrical bias preferred.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety practices, including lockout/tagout and safe systems of work.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, equipment manuals and maintenance instructions.
• Strong equipment troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and/or automation-related issues in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and improve production equipment within a high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Perform planned, preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.
• Respond quickly and safely to equipment breakdowns and production interruptions.
• Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, machine guarding standards and site maintenance practices.
• Identify equipment risks, unsafe conditions and opportunities for reliability improvement.
• Support root cause analysis of recurring equipment issues.
• Work closely with production operators, engineers and supervisors to maintain safe and efficient operations.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards within maintenance areas and around production equipment.
• Support continuous improvement activities focused on safety, quality, uptime and overall equipment performance.

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician – Electrical Bias

PE Global is currently recruiting for 2 Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technicians on behalf of a leading global manufacturing organisation, based at their Aycliffe site.

We are looking for experienced maintenance professionals, ideally with a strong electrical bias who can support the safe and efficient operation of high-speed manufacturing equipment.

Position Details

• Location: Aycliffe
• Contract: 6 months
• Start Date: ASAP
• Hours: 38 hours per week
• Shift Pattern: 3-shift rotation – 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm / 10pm–6am
• Pay Rate: £24.65 per hour, including 3-shift premium
• Base Rate: £20.73 per hour
• Shift Premium: £3.92 per hour
• Overtime 1.5x: £35.02 per hour
• Overtime 2x: £45.38 per hour
• Safety Footwear: Required
