Job summary

Adecco is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a world-class manufacturing facility in Congleton. You will work with advanced production equipment, automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0 technologies to keep production running safely and efficiently.

The role involves reactive and preventative maintenance, root cause analysis, and collaboration with production and engineering teams. The 6-month contract offers growth potential and a competitive rate of £18.49 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing/industrial maintenance

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive maintenance and fault-finding on electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Adhere to Health & Safety procedures including Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO)
• Update maintenance records using CMMS systems
• Support continuous improvement, TPM, and reliability initiatives
• Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams

As part of the Maintenance team, you will play a key role in ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while contributing to continuous improvement and predictive maintenance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive maintenance and fault-finding on electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime

What We're Looking For

• Experience within a manufacturing, production, or industrial maintenance environment
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
• A logical and methodical approach to problem-solving
• Good IT skills and the ability to use maintenance management systems
• Understanding of Health & Safety procedures and risk assessments
• Ability to work effectively within a team

Desirable Experience

• HNC/HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Experience with PLCs, automation, or robotics
• Knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, or Continuous Improvement methodologies
• Interest in Industry 4.0 technologies, AI, and predictive maintenance
