Job summary

A leading FMCG business seeks a Maintenance Technician in Edinburgh for a permanent role. You will be responsible for planned maintenance and breakdowns, helping achieve production KPIs, and supporting engineering projects. Ideal candidates are HNC qualified with both electrical and mechanical skills.

Qualifications

• HNC level education or equivalent is essential.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems preferred.
• Experience with TPM, PPM, and Continuous Improvement desirable.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for planned maintenance, breakdowns, and line change-overs.
• Maintain production OEE to hit site KPI targets.
• Identify and action opportunities for improvements within engineering.

MacGregor Black are partnering with a Leading FMCG Business on the search for a Maintenance Technician. This is a permanent role based in Edinburgh.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planned maintenance, breakdowns and line change-overs
• Participation in the delivery of the Engineering department vision and strategic plan
• Maintain production OEE to hit site KPI targets
• Identify and action opportunities for improvements within the engineering environment
• Adherence and the support of factory wide systems for the adherence to company policies and statutory regulations for health, safety, and environment
• Work in partnership with the relevant parties to aid in the planning and support of all capital engineering projects
• Pro-active team player who can build effective credibility quickly within peer group

What are we looking for?

• Educated to HNC level or equivalent essential
• Knowledge of both electrical and mechanical preferred
• Experience with TPM, PPM and Continuous Improvement desirable
