Job summary

M-Tec Engineering Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join a global manufacturing operation on a three-shift pattern (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10am-6pm). The role emphasizes electrical orientation, pneumatics, hydraulics, and fault finding on Siemens S7 PLCs with ABB Robotics exposure.

You will work in a high-volume manufacturing environment, performing preventive maintenance and supporting new installations to drive performance and TPM outcomes.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained maintenance engineer with 17th/18th Edition wiring regs and PLC knowledge.
• Strong understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics with fault-finding skills on electrical systems.
• Experience working in high-volume manufacturing and TPM environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide rapid breakdown response and repair to keep production lines running.
• Carry out daily and weekly maintenance and preventive tasks across plant machinery.
• Contribute to TPM processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support new installations and equipment upgrades to improve performance.
• Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings for fault diagnosis.
• Maintain safe working conditions and comply with electrical standards.

Job description

A phenomenal opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a global manufacturing business on a three shift pattern (6am - 2pm/2pm-10pm/10am - 6pm).

Candidates should be electrically orientated with an understanding of Pneumatics and Hydraulics, Equipment strip down - pumps, gears, Electrical installations and Fault Finding

Ideally, candidates will be apprentice trained with relevant qualifications, 17th /18th Edition wiring regulations, together with sound knowledge of PLC's (Siemens)

Working as part of a highly skilled maintenance team that covers all aspects of Plant maintenance, the Maintenance Technician will be required to provide effective maintenance support within high volume manufacturing arena where continuous production is paramount.

The Maintenance Technician will work across Three shift pattern and be responsible for:

• Ensuring that all machinery is kept in a functional and in a safe condition
• Good working knowledge of ABB Robotics
• Ability to fault find on Siemens S7 PLCs.
• Ability to clearly read electrical, pneumatic & mechanical drawings during problem solving
• Providing a rapid response to breakdowns and repair accordingly
• Perform daily and weekly maintenance planned activities
• Insure preventive maintenance of all machinery
• Contribute to TPM process
• Support new installations required to improve performance.
