Bolton School seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their Operational Services team, responsible for the maintenance and repair of facilities. Bolton School are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated Operational Services team.
In this hands-on role, the successful candidate will be responsible for a range of maintenance, repair and compliance tasks across our extensive school grounds, playing a key role in ensuring the facilities are well-maintained, compliant, and fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities Include:
·Repairing and maintaining building fabric and equipment, including glazing, furniture, lockers, tiling, and flooring.
·Joinery work and minor plastering and decorating tasks.
·Installation of noticeboards, signage and wall hangings.
·Inspecting and maintaining roof coverings and supporting safety inspections (e.g. fire doors, extinguishers, lighting, water safety).
·Assisting with regulatory compliance and supporting fire marshal duties.
·Occasionally undertaking security duties and supporting other Operational Services functions.
·Promoting and upholding Health & Safety and safeguarding standards at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
·Practical maintenance or trade skills with experience in joinery, tiling, decorating, or general repairs.
·A proactive, team-focused attitude with a strong commitment to health, safety and compliance.
·Flexibility to take on a variety of duties and support colleagues as required.
·Willingness to undertake relevant training.
