Job summary

Warner Hotels is recruiting a Maintenance Technician for the Runnymede on Thames. You will join a small onsite team, handling general maintenance across the hotel, from painting to minor repairs and routine upkeep.

The role supports guest experience and requires a hands-on, independent spirit with a willingness to learn diverse trades and keep the building in top condition.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel maintenance preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn across a broad range of trades.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the hotel building and systems daily.
• Carry out basic plumbing, electrical and repair tasks as needed.
• Support the Maintenance Team Supervisor to ensure smooth operations.

Join our team at the Runnymede on Thames, part of the Warner Hotels Group. Opening as a Warner in 2024, this beautiful hotel on the River Thames near Windsor offers award-winning spa facilities, restaurants, bars, and outdoor activities.

Up to £13.21 per hour (dependent on your age)

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Technician at Warner Hotels. As part of our supportive team, you will develop and grow into delivering a great service within the Maintenance department. Alongside the Maintenance Team Supervisor you will be a fundamental part of the smooth running of the hotel.

As a Maintenance team member, you’ll be part of a small onsite team dedicated to ensuring the hotel is maintained effectively. We’d love you to be a generalist in skill – happy to be completing basic plumbing one day and re-wiring a plug on another day, keeping abreast of all essential maintenance repairs and minor works.

What are we looking for?

• Someone who can work independently to care for the maintenance of the building carrying out minor ensuring the building is not only looking it’s best, but all areas are fully functioning.
• A capable Painter and Decorator to carry out internal and external painting and decorating, preparation works to walls and minor repairs to surfaces and structures prior to decorating/painting.
• Comfortable in managing minor maintenance works including plumbing, plant machinery, or grounds work.
• Able to use and maintain a range of equipment to include loose hand tools, power tools and door lock equipment.
• Be guest focused, always having a positive and problem-solving attitude.
• A people person who would put the guest journey at the heart of everything they do.
• Someone who will care about the wider team and look to support wherever needed.

What skills do I need?

• Previous experience as a maintenance technician will help but not essential – mainly a willingness to learn about maintenance covering a large hotel.
