Job summary

Norton Grange, part of the Warner Hotels Group, is recruiting a Maintenance Technician to join a small onsite team maintaining a coastal 202-bedroom chalet village. You’ll handle basic plumbing, electrical tasks, decorating and general upkeep to ensure guest areas are functional and welcoming.

You’ll work independently with support from the Maintenance Team Supervisor, contributing to a smooth running of the hotel and guest experience. A willingness to learn and a practical mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a maintenance technician is helpful but not essential; willingness to learn is key.
• Painter and Decorator tasks for internal and external surfaces are part of the role.
• Capable of basic plumbing, light electrical, grounds work and minor repairs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the hotel building and ensure areas are fully functional.
• Carry out minor maintenance and decorating tasks as required.
• Work with the Maintenance Team Supervisor to keep operations smooth.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Technician at Warner Hotels. As part of our supportive team, you will develop and grow into delivering a great service within the Maintenance department. Alongside the Maintenance Team Supervisor you will be a fundamental part of the smooth running of the hotel.

As a Maintenance team member, you’ll be part of a small onsite team dedicated to ensuring the hotel is maintained effectively. We’ll love you to be a generalist in skill - happy to be completing basic plumbing one day and re-wiring a plug on another day, keeping abreast of all essential maintenance repairs and minor works.

What are we looking for?

• Someone who can work independently to care for the maintenance of the building carrying out minor ensuring the building is not only looking it’s best, but all areas are fully functioning.
• A capable Painter and Decorator to carry out internal and external painting and decorating, preparation works to walls and minor repairs to surfaces and structures prior to decorating/painting.
• Comfortable in managing minor maintenance works including plumbing, plant machinery, or grounds work.
• Able to use and maintain a range of equipment to include loose hand tools, power tools and door lock equipment.
• Be guest focused, always having a positive and problem-solving attitude.
• A people person who would put the guest journey at the heart of everything they do.
• Someone who will care about the wider team and look to support wherever needed.

What skills do I need?

• Previous experience as a maintenance technician will help but not essential – mainly a willingness to learn about maintenance covering a large hotel.
