Job summary

Norton Grange, part of Warner Hotels Group, seeks a Maintenance Technician to join the on-site team. You will work with a small team to maintain buildings, perform basic repairs, and support daily hotel operations at a chalet village near the Solent.

The role covers painting, plumbing, electrical tasks, and general maintenance, with a focus on keeping all areas fully functional and guest-ready. Training and career development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out internal and external painting and decorating.

Join our team at Norton Grange part of the Warner Hotels Group. Set within magnificent grounds, Norton Grange is part of the Warner Hotels Group. It's a beautiful, coastal, 202-bedroom chalet village with a theatre, purpose-built leisure facilities, a restaurant, and award-winning gardens that feature beautiful views of the Solent. It's close to the port of Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight Up to £13.21 per hour (dependent on your age) We have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Technician at Warner Hotels. As part of our supportive team, you will develop and grow into delivering a great service within the Maintenance department. Alongside the Maintenance Team Supervisor you will be a fundamental part of the smooth running of the hotel. As a Maintenance team member, you'll be part of a small onsite team dedicated to ensuring the hotel is maintained effectively. We'd love you to be a generalist in skill - happy to be completing basic plumbing one day and re-wiring a plug on another day, keeping abreast of all essential maintenance repairs and minor works.

Someone who can work independently to care for the maintenance of the building carrying out minor ensuring the building is not only looking it's best, but all areas are fully functioning.

• A capable Painter and Decorator to carry out internal and external painting and decorating, preparation works to walls and minor repairs to surfaces and structures prior to decorating/painting.
• Comfortable in managing minor maintenance works including plumbing, plant machinery, or grounds work.
• Able to use and maintain a range of equipment to include loose hand tools, power tools and door lock equipment.
• Be guest focused, always having a positive and problem-solving attitude.
• A people person who would put the guest journey at the heart of everything they do.
• Someone who will care about the wider team and look to support wherever needed.

What skills do I need?

• Previous experience as a maintenance technician will help but not essential - mainly a willingness to learn about maintenance covering a large hotel.
