Job summary

Away Resorts is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader at Whitecliff Bay, Bembridge, Isle of Wight. You will lead maintenance activities across accommodation and park facilities, delivering guest delight by ensuring everything looks great and works properly.

You'll supervise trades, carry out carpentry, landscaping and routine checks, including hot tub maintenance, on changeover days and during bank holidays, evenings and weekends when required.

Qualifications

• Ability to carry out domestic repairs and maintenance, e.g. tiling, lock repairs and installation of appliances etc.
• An understanding of Health & Safety at work
• Candidates should have strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

• Carpentry, e.g. repair of doors, windows, kitchen units, walls and floors, signage, roofs & gutters and just about anything else wooden that you can think of.
• Landscaping, including paving and fencing
• Maintenance jobs; everything from replacing light bulbs, tiling to troubleshooting faulty locks and cutting keys
• Carrying out maintenance checks and repairs on changeover days, working with other tradespeople when necessary
• Carrying out Hot Tub checks and maintenance when needed to support
• Pretty much anything else that other people can’t do!
• Guests and staff will look to you to fix what’s broken and restore order, so you will need to be confident, friendly and obliging in addition to your practical skills.

Location: Whitecliff Bay, Bembridge, Isle of Wight

Hours:Permanent Contract – 40 hours per week

Remuneration: £28,603.56 per annum

What we need in a nutshell

We need a Maintenance Team Leader who can deliver delight to our guests by ensuring that everything in their accommodation, and across the park, looks great and works properly.

As part of our team of holiday heroes, you will help the Manager to ensure everything is in good working order. Your work will include:

• Carpentry, e.g. repair of doors, windows, kitchen units, walls and floors, signage, roofs & gutters and just about anything else wooden that you can think of.
• Landscaping, including paving and fencing
• Maintenance jobs; everything from replacing light bulbs, tiling to troubleshooting faulty locks and cutting keys
