Job summary

Warner Hotels is offering a Maintenance Technician role at Corton on the Suffolk coast. The 181-bedroom coastal chalet-themed hotel operates under the Warner Hotels Group and provides a 5-month fixed-term contract with the potential for a permanent position.

You will work with the Maintenance Team to ensure a high-quality guest journey from arrival and beyond. Primary duties include painting, decorating, and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Experienced painter and decorator with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn maintenance tasks across a large hotel.
• Ability to carry out both internal and external decorating and minor repairs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out internal and external painting and decorating.
• Prepare walls and perform minor repairs to surfaces.
• Ensure building is well-maintained and all areas function smoothly.

Join our team at Corton, part of the Warner Hotels Group. This 181-bedroom coastal chalet-themed hotel is set on the Suffolk coast with a relaxed holiday atmosphere.

Up to £12.71 per hour (dependent on your age)

This is a 5-month fixed-term contract with the potential to become a permanent position. Should the role become permanent, the successful candidate will be given first consideration and the opportunity to accept the permanent role before it is advertised externally.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Technician at Warner Hotels. As part of our supportive team, you will develop and grow into delivering a great service within the Maintenance department. Alongside the Maintenance Team Supervisor you will be a fundamental part of the smooth running of the guest journey from the moment each guest arrives.

What are we looking for?

• A skilled and detail-oriented Painter and Decorator to carry out internal and external painting and decorating, preparation works to walls and minor repairs to surfaces and structures prior to decorating/painting.
• Someone who can work independently to care for the maintenance of the building carrying out minor ensuring the building is not only looking it’s best, but all areas are fully functioning.
• Able to use and maintain a range of equipment to include loose hand tools, power tools and door lock equipment.
• Be guest focused, always having a positive and problem-solving attitude.
• A people person who would put the guest journey at the heart of everything they do.
• Someone who will care about the wider team and look to support wherever needed.

What skills do I need?

• Previous experience as a maintenance technician will help but not essential – mainly a willingness to learn about maintenance covering a large hotel.
