Warner Hotels Group seeks a Maintenance Technician at Corton, a coastal 181-bedroom hotel on the Suffolk coast. The role supports the Maintenance team to deliver a smooth guest journey, keeping spaces well-maintained and safe.

The position is a 5-month fixed-term contract with potential permanent promotion; pay is up to £12.71 per hour, depending on age, plus development opportunities within the department.

Qualifications

• Experience as a maintenance technician is helpful but not required; willing to learn in a hotel setting.

Responsibilities

• Carry out internal and external painting and decorating, surface prep and minor repairs.
• Ensure maintenance and repairs are completed to keep guest areas fully functional.

Join our team at Corton, part of the Warner Hotels Group. This 181-bedroom coastal chalet-themed hotel is set on the Suffolk coast with a relaxed holiday atmosphere.

Up to £12.71 per hour (dependent on your age)

This is a 5-month fixed-term contract with the potential to become a permanent position. Should the role become permanent, the successful candidate will be given first consideration and the opportunity to accept the permanent role before it is advertised externally.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Technician at Warner Hotels. As part of our supportive team, you will develop and grow into delivering a great service within the Maintenance department. Alongside the Maintenance Team Supervisor you will be a fundamental part of the smooth running of the guest journey from the moment each guest arrives.

By working together with a large diverse and multi-skilled team, you will ensure all our guests enjoy the highest quality stay keeping abreast of all essential maintenance repairs and minor works.

What are we looking for?

• A skilled and detail-oriented Painter and Decorator to carry out internal and external painting and decorating, preparation works to walls and minor repairs to surfaces and structures prior to decorating/painting.
• Someone who can work independently to care for the maintenance of the building carrying out minor ensuring the building is not only looking it’s best, but all areas are fully functioning.
• Able to use and maintain a range of equipment to include loose hand tools, power tools and door lock equipment.
• Be guest focused, always having a positive and problem-solving attitude.
• A people person who would put the guest journey at the heart of everything they do.
• Someone who will care about the wider team and look to support wherever needed.

What skills do I need?

• Previous experience as a maintenance technician will help but not essential – mainly a willingness to learn about maintenance covering a large hotel.
