Job summary

Novotel Glasgow is seeking a Maintenance Team Member to join our hotel and keep guest areas safe and well maintained. You will perform preventative maintenance, conduct safety checks, and support the Maintenance Manager with routine repairs to ensure a comfortable stay for all visitors.

We offer an on-site role with a Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday pattern, 169 hours per month, and hourly pay of £12.73. Training is provided to help you succeed and grow within the Accor network.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or facilities management.
• Willing to undergo required training to perform effectively.
• Strong focus on safety and regular inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections to keep the hotel safe and pleasant for guests and colleagues.
• Assist in basic upkeep and repair tasks alongside the Maintenance Manager.
• Contribute to a well-maintained environment across the property.

Our hotel offers 141rooms, and restaurant with bar.

Understanding things from our guest’s perspective is key, so while you are settling into your new role we will arrange a one-night stay for you to experience this first hand.

Weekly Pattern: Monday - Friday OR Tuesday - Saturday (Rota of being on call)

Rate of Pay:£12.73 per hour

As our next Maintenance Team Member, you…

Are responsible for preventative maintenance work and carry out regular safety and maintenance inspections across the hotel to create a pleasant and safe environment for all colleagues, guests and visitors.

Ideally have a good understanding of building maintenance.

Alongside the Maintenance Manager you ensure basic upkeep and repair tasks are carried out.
