Job summary

ATA is recruiting a Maintenance Team Leader in Leicestershire for a night shift, 22:00–06:00, Sunday to Thursday. You will oversee planned and reactive maintenance, lead a small shift of engineers, and drive improvements on packaging lines.

You will supervise and mentor engineers, handle electrical and mechanical faults, replace components, and ensure food safety and health and safety compliance. The role offers progression opportunities and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a shift in a multi-skilled environment.
• Experience in FMCG/manufacturing is essential.
• Must follow food safety and health and safety requirements.
• Comfort working in a chilled environment with PPE.
• Educated to a minimum of Level 3.

Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive maintenance, installation, commissioning of new machinery and lines; project work.
• Fault-finding on electrical and mechanical components; I/O checks beneficial.
• Supervise and mentor engineers on shift; assign tasks and training.

About the role

Due to investment, this is a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Team Leader to join their compact but mighty team as they continue to grow and expand their lines. The successful Maintenance Team Leader will have the opportunity to grow into leadership positions further down the line.

Responsibilities will include:

• Planned and reactive maintenance, installation and commissioning of new machinery and lines and project work including process improvements
• Fault-finding on both the electrical and mechanical components. No PLC programming required but need to have the ability to check I/O’s would be hugely beneficial
• Replacing components including sensors, relays, contactors, bearings, belts and chains
• To supervise, as well as mentor Engineers in your shift by assigning job tasks, training and to be the subject matter expert on shift.

About you

To be considered for the Maintenance Team Leader position, you should have the following:

• Experience in leading a shift in a multi-skilled environment, being able to work with electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Previous experience working within an FMCG/Manufacturing environment is imperative for this role
• Due to the nature of the work, you should be happy to work to food safety as well as health and safety requirements.
• Applicants must be comfortable working within a chilled environment (all relevant PPE will be provided)
• Educated to a minimum of a Level 3.
