Job summary

Stirling Warrington in Leicester is seeking a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to lead a small team and oversee contractor activity in a fast-growing FMCG environment.

You will repair and maintain a range of packaging and processing equipment, including fryers, weighers and metal detectors, while mentoring engineers and improving maintenance programs. The role emphasizes mechanical and electrical duties with a bias toward electrical skills.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams, managing contractors and planning maintenance schedules.
• Multi-skilled with mechanical and electrical competencies.
• Experience in FMCG/food manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of single and three-phase motors; PLC knowledge not required.
• Experience dealing with contractors and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of fryers, weighers, baggers, sealers, cutters and metal detectors.
• Lead maintenance team and coordinate contractors.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules.

The successful applicant will have both mechanical and electrical competencies. Mechanically you'll be repairing and maintaining fryers, weighers, baggers, sealers, cutters, and metal detectors. On the electrical side a working knowledge of single and three phase motors is required as well as 24v machinery.No knowledge of PLCs is required.Ideally the applicant will have an FMCG background.

• Experience as a team lead/ senior/ lead maintenance engineer is required. Managing teams, dealing with contractors, guiding engineers and planning PPM schedules
• You will be multi-skilled ideally with an electrical bias but would look at mechanical bias if you have strong electrical skills
• We are looking for someone from Food background
