Job summary

Hyperion Partners is seeking a Maintenance Surveyor – Planned Investment for a permanent role in Leeds. You will deliver planned investment and PPM programmes across the housing portfolio, manage capital works with over £1 million annual value, and inspect properties to ensure quality and compliance.

The role requires surveying qualification and strong contract administration, with attention to safety, budgets, and resident service.

Qualifications

• Experience managing planned investment, capital works or PPM programmes within social housing or residential property.
• Proven experience overseeing projects and budgets in excess of £1 million.
• Strong knowledge of building construction, planned maintenance and contract administration.
• Experience managing contractors using recognised forms of contract and monitoring KPIs.
• Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK driving licence is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned investment and PPM programmes across the housing portfolio.
• Manage capital investment projects with a combined annual value exceeding £1 million.
• Undertake stock condition surveys, property inspections and pre- and post-work inspections.
• Prepare specifications, schedules of work, tender documentation and cost estimates.
• Manage contractors and consultants, monitoring quality, programme delivery, budgets and performance.
• Ensure all works comply with current legislation, health and safety requirements, building regulations and organisational policies.
• Work closely with residents and internal teams to minimise disruption and deliver excellent customer service.
• Monitor project expenditure and contribute to effective budget management.
• Maintain accurate project records and produce progress reports for senior management.
• Support the ongoing development of the organisation’s asset management and investment strategies.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering planned investment and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programmes, managing projects with a combined annual value in excess of £1 million. You will ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards while providing an excellent service to residents.
