Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor (Hands-On) in Abergavenny to lead a team of 6 engineers on a busy industrial site. The role combines hands-on maintenance with line leadership, covering 3-phase machinery, hydraulics, and PLC fault finding.

The position operates on a rotating 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm schedule with overtime paid at enhanced rates and a potential company bonus. £50k-£55k base salary plus overtime makes this a rewarding opportunity.

Qualifications

• Experience overseeing a small team of engineers.
• Hands-on maintenance on industrial machinery including PLC and 3-phase systems.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and cover early/late hours.

Responsibilities

• PPM and RM on industrial machinery.
• Working on 3-phase machinery, hydraulics, and PLC fault finding.
• Leading a team of 6 Maintenance Engineers.
• Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm, then 2pm - 10pm, rotating weekly.
• Overtime paid at 1.5x, Sunday 2x.

Are you a Maintenance Supervisor/Team Leader or similar, looking for a challenging yet rewarding role, working hands-on in a busy 40-acre industrial site?

Are you looking to lead a team of 6 Engineers, working on a broad range of cutting-edge machinery, seen as the go-to technical expert in the department?

In this double-days role you will be performing a split of planned and reactive maintenance in a busy industrial environment, whilst leading a close-knit team of 6 Engineers. This will include working on 3-phase machinery, lasers, PLC controls, hydraulics, drives and related equipment.

Founded nearly 70 years ago, this materials processing company are the largest in the UK within their sector, boasting a turnover of £120 million. With a recent investment of £40 million into new machinery, they aim to continue growing on their 40-acre site for years to come.

This role would suit someone with experience overseeing a small team, who wants to join a market-leading company who will invest in their career with plenty of fresh challenges every day.
