Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is working with a manufacturing group in Abergavenny to recruit an Industrial Maintenance Electrician. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance on 3-phase machinery, PLC controls, sensors, drives, and hydraulics on a big site.

Working on a double-days shift (5:30am-2pm and 1:30pm-10pm, rotating weekly), you will earn £45,000–£48,000 with overtime and a potential OTE of around £63,000, plus a company bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial maintenance on large machinery.
• Must perform PPM and RM on old and new equipment.
• Familiarity with 3-phase systems, PLC controls, sensors and drives.
• Willingness to train on specific courses if needed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance on 3‑phase machinery and equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns with effective fault finding on PLCs, drives and sensors.
• Assist with continuous improvement and training on new machinery.

In this double-days based role you will be performing a split of planned and reactive maintenance in a busy industrial environment, working on 3-phase machinery, lasers, PLC controls, hydraulics, drives and related equipment.

Founded nearly 70 years ago, this materials processing company are one of the largest in the UK within their sector, boasting a turnover of £120 million. With a recent investment of £40 million into new machinery, they aim to continue growing on their 40-acre site for years to come.

This role would suit a Maintenance Electrician/Engineer looking for a double-days role within a large industrial site, with new challenges every day and plenty of variety of work.

The Role:

• PPM and RM on both old and new machinery


• Working on 3-phase motors, drives, sensors, and PLC fault finding


• Further training given through specific courses if needed


• Monday to Friday, 5:30am - 2pm, then 1:30am - 10pm, rotating weekly


• Overtime paid at 1.5x, Sunday 2x
