Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is assisting a large industrial site in Abergavenny to recruit a Lead Maintenance Engineer. The role involves overseeing a team of six engineers and delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across a £100 million turnover operation.

You will work on 3-phase machinery including hydraulics, drives and PLC systems. Shifts run 6am–2pm then 2pm–10pm, with overtime paid at 1.5x and Sundays at 2x. An equal opportunities employer welcome applications.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• PPM and RM on industrial machinery across a large site.

• Lead a team of 6 Maintenance Engineers.
• Rotating shifts: 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm, Monday to Friday.
• Overtime paid at 1.5x; Sundays 2x.

Are you a Maintenance Engineer looking to take a leading role overseeing a team of 6 skilled Engineers, within a £100 million turnover company that have recently invested £40 million into new, best-in-class machinery and equipment?

Are you looking to be the go-to technical expert, solving issues and mentoring staff across a large industrial site, in a diverse and challenging role where no two days are ever the same?

In this double-days role you will be performing a split of planned and reactive maintenance in a busy industrial environment, whilst leading a close-knit team of 6 Engineers. This will include working on 3-phase machinery, lasers, PLC controls, hydraulics, drives and related equipment.

Founded nearly 70 years ago, this materials processing company are the largest in the UK within their sector, boasting a turnover of £120 million. With a recent investment of £40 million into new machinery, they aim to continue growing on their 40-acre site for years to come.

This role would suit a Maintenance Engineer looking for a challenging role where every day is different, leading a small team within a large and progressive company.

The Role:
