We have an exciting new vacancy for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at The Grand Hotel Scarborough. Nestled in the heart of the town, just a short walk from Scarborough Train Station, our 413-room hotel offers breathtaking views of the picturesque harbour and South Bay.

Your duties will include:

• Supervising the daily operation of the maintenance team
• Liaising with the hotel's operational departments to ensure guest needs and operational functions are prioritized
• Ensuring necessary inspections of lifts, boilers, etc., are carried out and records maintained
• Ensuring regular testing and management of the hotel's safety systems
• Responding effectively to emergencies
• Conducting recruitment, training, and management of maintenance personnel, and assisting in statutory staff training

Candidate requirements:

The successful candidate will have excellent DIY skills or be a tradesperson capable of handling various maintenance tasks. You must also have a keen attention to detail and the ability to take initiative when solving problems.
