Job Description:

Purpose

The Mechanical Supervisor is a key role within the Maintenance team to support the safe operation of assets, plant productivity, and reliability. As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will:

  • Report directly to the Maintenance Manager and oversee Mechanical Maintenance Technicians and Shift Technicians.
  • Be responsible for all mechanical maintenance tasks, ensuring safety standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Work closely with operations to meet quality and safety standards, including ISO certifications and cGMP.
  • Manage maintenance activities, schedule tasks, and collaborate with the Planning & Scheduling team to improve plant reliability.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Maintain health, safety, and environmental standards during all maintenance activities.
  • Manage the Mechanical Maintenance team, assign work, review work packs, and ensure RAMS are adequate.
  • Document and close out work orders in the CMMS system.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as timekeeping, holidays, and disciplinary matters.
  • Develop job packs, RAMS, and schedules in collaboration with the Maintenance Planner.
  • Contribute to root cause analyses and continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensure all safety and quality standards are met and promote a positive safety culture.
  • Supervise external contractors and liaise with OEMs for inspections and maintenance.

This role is crucial for maintaining equipment performance, safety, and compliance within the site.
