Job summary

Pertemps Network Group is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for a busy on-site manufacturing site. The role focuses on safe, efficient production and driving continuous improvement across shifts.

You will collaborate with production, design and quality teams to optimize processes, implement SOPs, support NPI and manufacturing readiness, and monitor KPIs. Competitive salary up to £58,000 plus benefits and a 6:00am–2:00pm Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Production/Manufacturing or Process Engineering role.
• Strong understanding of shop floor operations and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S).
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and implement practical solutions.
• Strong communication across teams and proactive approach.

• Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshooting issues and implementing effective solutions.

• Monitor production KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support RCA and CAPA for production and quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and company procedures.

The Role

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient, safe, and high-quality delivery of manufacturing processes across the site. You will work closely with production, design, and quality teams to optimise processes, resolve technical issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a hands-on, on-site role, suited to someone who enjoys being close to operations and driving real, tangible improvements on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day production activities, ensuring processes run efficiently and meet quality standards
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall performance
• Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshooting issues and implementing effective solutions
• Work collaboratively with design and engineering teams to support new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing readiness
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
• Monitor production KPIs and use data to drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventative actions (CAPA) for production and quality issues
• Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and company procedures at all times
• Liaise with suppliers and external stakeholders where required to support production requirements

About You

• Previous experience in a Production, Manufacturing, or Process Engineering role
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and shop floor operations
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, etc.)
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and implement practical solutions
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
• Proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on quality and efficiency
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, on-site manufacturing environment
