Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor/Engineer to lead the maintenance team in our Chard-based facility. You will oversee planned preventive maintenance, coordinate servicing, and drive reliability improvements while ensuring a safe working environment.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong fault finding in mechanical and electrical areas, and experience with SMMS systems. You will liaise with contractors and help optimize maintenance processes to support

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience in manufacturing or engineering.
• Supervisory or team-leader experience preferred.
• Strong fault-finding skills in mechanical and/or electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the maintenance team, allocating work and promoting positive team culture.
• Manage planned preventive maintenance and respond to reactive breakdowns.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are accurately recorded using the Agility CMM system.
• Coordinate servicing schedules, equipment inspections and statutory compliance checks.
• Liaise with contractors, manage spare parts and support installation of equipment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Promote high standards of Health and Safety and ensure compliance across all maintenance activities.

Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer ready to take their next step into leadership, or an established Maintenance Supervisor looking for your next challenge?
Were looking for a proactive and hands:on Maintenance Supervisor to lead our client in Chards maintenance team and play a key role in ensuring our manufacturing plant and facilities operate safely, efficiently and reliably.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the maintenance team, allocating work and promoting positive team culture

About You

• Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing or engineering environment, ideally in a supervisory or team leader role
• Strong mechanical and / or electrical fault:finding and maintenance skills
• Experience with planned preventative maintenance and SMMS systems
• Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills
• Proactive approach to problem solving, continuous improvement and Health and Safety
