Careers Jaguar Land Rover in Solihull is seeking a Maintenance Store Operative to support the maintenance function, manage stock, tools and spare parts, and assist with purchasing. The role is on-site and requires a practical understanding of engineering principles.

You will ensure safe, well-organised stores, contribute to purchasing with low stock awareness, and help the maintenance teams deliver a premium, luxury experience for customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance procurement and stock management.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards and procedures.
• Understanding of mechanical/engineering principles relevant to maintenance stores.

Responsabilités

• Support maintenance activities across Solihull estate, including preventative and corrective work on mechanical plant and equipment.
• Manage stock levels through auditing, inventory monitoring, reporting, and accurate record keeping using stock control systems.
• Receive, check, and issue deliveries, tools, materials, and critical spare parts to support maintenance operations.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting a safe, organised, and customer-focused environment while helping to deliver a modern luxury experience for customers and colleagues. This would suit someone who has perhaps been a maintenance engineer and has an understanding of basic engineering principals to assist the engineering / maintenance teams with the correct procurement of parts/spares. WHAT TO EXPECT

• Support maintenance activities across the Solihull estate, including preventative and corrective work on mechanical plant and equipment.
• Manage stock levels through auditing, inventory monitoring, reporting, and accurate record keeping using stock control systems.
• Receive, check, and issue deliveries, tools, materials, and critical spare parts to support maintenance operations.
• Maintain safe, organised, and efficient stores areas, including quick-access storage locations.
• Assist with purchasing activities by identifying low stock levels and supporting the re-ordering process.
• Follow all company procedures relating to health and safety, COSHH, and ergonomics.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues while demonstrating a customer-focused approach and commitment to continuous improvement. A Government approved Apprenticeship, Craftsman Certificate, Level 3 BTEC, NVQ, OCR Cambridge Nationals, OR, a National Diploma in an engineering related disciplaine discipline.
