Job summary

Time Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer in Poynton to perform planned and reactive maintenance, electrical testing and general repairs. You will document maintenance activities using Atlas and MS Excel/Word, ensuring safe, efficient operations.

The role requires up-to-date electrical qualifications, a 2391 or similar testing qualification, and an IPAF license. You will work Monday to Friday, with occasional call-outs and a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Up-to-date Electrical Qualification – NVQ Level 3.
• 2391 Testing & Inspection Qualification – industrial site experience desirable.
• Valid IPAF Licence.
• EET / PAT Testing qualification or training.
• Good IT skills, with confidence using Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with Atlas or cloud-based safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the site.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and general maintenance faults.
• Undertake electrical testing and inspection to relevant standards.
• Complete general handyman and building maintenance tasks as required.
• Carry out EET / PAT testing and maintain accurate records.
• Use IPAF equipment safely and effectively when required.
• Record maintenance activities and asset information in Atlas.
• Maintain documentation in Excel and Word.
• Ensure health and safety requirements are met.
• Respond to maintenance issues and call-outs as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues, contractors and management.
• Maintain a clean, safe, professional working environment.

Maintenance Engineer

Location:Poynton
Salary: £36,000 per annum
Hourly Rate: £18.77 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00
Flexibility: Flexibility required, including call-outs where necessary

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, electrical testing, general repairs, and ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently.

You will be required to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and assets using our cloud-based safety and maintenance system, Atlas, as well as Microsoft Excel and Word.

Key Requirements & Experience

The successful candidate will have:

• Up-to-date Electrical Qualification – NVQ Level 3
• 2391 Testing & Inspection Qualification – industrial site experience desirable.
• Previous general maintenance / handyman experience.
• Valid IPAF Licence.
• EET / PAT Testing qualification or training.
• Good IT skills, with confidence using Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience or ability to work with cloud-based safety and maintenance systems; experience with Atlas is desirable.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• A flexible approach to working hours, including call-outs when required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
