Job summary

South Pine (Nelson) Ltd seeks a senior Engineering & Maintenance Leader to drive maintenance planning, reliability improvement, and capital projects. You will lead a team of nine direct reports and work with operational leaders to optimise safety, reliability and asset life across the plant.

The role requires strong CMMS experience, budgeting, contractor management and a track record of coaching and developing teams within a manufacturing setting. Timber processing exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Leadership of maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with safety leadership and audits.
• Proven project management capability.
• Ability to coach and develop teams.
• Experience managing maintenance budgets and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing the Engineering & Maintenance team.
• Driving a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all legislative and company requirements.
• Maximising plant reliability, equipment availability and asset life.
• Leading preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Managing maintenance planning, scheduling and shutdown execution.
• Managing maintenance resources and contractors.
• Working closely with Production Leaders to identify and eliminate reliability constraints.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, reliability, productivity.
