Job summary

Breedon Group plc, a leading construction materials business in Great Britain and Ireland, seeks a Site Engineering Lead to own the site's engineering strategy. You will head a team of mechanical and electrical technicians to maximize plant uptime and drive preventative maintenance across fixed processing plants and heavy mobile equipment.

You will enforce health and safety standards, ensure compliance with The Quarries Regulations 1999, PUWER, LOLER, and safe systems of work, and mentor

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading engineering teams in heavy industrial/mineral processing.
• Strong mechanical or electrical engineering background with asset reliability focus.
• Knowledge of UK safety regulations (PUWER, LOLER, The Quarries Regulations 1999).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute maintenance and reliability strategy across fixed plants and heavy mobile equipment.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards per UK regulations.
• Lead and mentor a multi-skilled team of engineers and external contractors.
• Optimize spare parts inventory, asset lifecycles, and contractor spend.
