Job summary

Breedon Group plc at Freemans Quarry, Bristol, seeks a Maintenance Technician to maintain, service and repair mobile crushing and screening equipment and heavy mobile plant.

You will perform planned maintenance, respond to breakdowns and assist with reliability improvements, while following health and safety standards and company procedures.

The role supports production objectives with accurate records and collaborative teamwork within Operations and Maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
• Strong health and safety commitment.
• Experience in mechanical and electrical fault finding.
• Knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
• Experience working with crushing and screening equipment.
• Competence in cutting, grinding, welding and fabrication.
• Able to carry out a wide range of general maintenance activities.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to reliability.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mobile plant and quarry equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults.
• Maintain and repair mobile crushers, screens, feeders, conveyors and earthmoving equipment.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and carry out safe emergency repairs.
• Replace worn or damaged components using approved methods.
• Assist with root cause analysis following equipment failures.
• Support efficient repair planning to minimise downtime.
• Record maintenance activities and service records accurately.
• Contribute to improving maintenance schedules and plant reliability.
