Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Plumber

Hays is the sole agency supplier to the HM Prison Service for maintenance trades and support operatives. We are seeking to recruit a Maintenance Plumber for HMP Humber near Brough in East Yorkshire. The role is initially to cover sickness, with potential for long-term opportunities.

Role Details:

• Full-time, 39 hours per week
• Hours: Mon – Fri, 7:45am - 4:45pm
• Overtime at 1 in 3 weekends
• On-call rota participation (on-call rates apply)

Responsibilities:

• Fix broken toilets and pipework
• Install new toilets and sinks
• Unblock toilets and sinks
• Assist other trades as needed

You will need to complete and pass a security clearance before starting.

Requirements:

• Level 2 or 3 qualification in Plumbing
• Ability to pass prison security clearance and enhanced DBS (organised by Hays and MOJ)
• Valid passport or full birth certificate & photo driving licence
• Proof of National Insurance and recent proof of address (past 3 months)
• Details of at least 2 employment references
